Abstract

Biofortification can be done either through conventional selective breeding or through genetic engineering. Biofortification focuses on making plant foods more nutritious during their growth. Crop biofortification is a sustainable and cost-effective approach to tackle malnutrition in developing countries. Fenugreek exploits crop to overcome micronutrient deficiency The associated issues to strengthen crop biofortification through fenugreek research and development have been dealt in the present work.
