Dr Ajai Kumar Paliwal obtained his Ph. D. degree in Botany from C. C. S. University, Meerut. He joined as Lecturer in 1997 and subsequently became Professor of Boatny in 2012. His field of interest is Angiospermic Taxonomy, Ethnobotany, Biodiversity and Sericulture.
Dr Paliwal guided 4 students leading to their Ph. D. degree and is currently guiding 3 research student. He supervised 29 students for M. Sc. Dissertation.
Prof Paliwal has so far published 61 research papers in national and international journals of high repute. He attended 37 conferences and authored two books.
Besides many administrative assignments, Prof Paliwal had been conferred awards. He is life member of many prestigious societies like Indian Botanical Society, Society for Plant Research (SPR) and Academy of Plant Sciences. He has served as the member of Editorial Board and as referee of many journals. Besides this Dr Paliwal worked extensively on the flora of endangered and medicinal plants along with their ethnobotanical studies.
