Selection of peanut genotypes with more stability and good adaptation to a wide range of environments and specific environments is important for peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) breeding. The experiment was conducted in three testing sites (Gazawa, Bocklé and Dang) in Northern Cameroon to evaluate different stability parameters and select the suitable genotypes for phenolic content and antioxidant activity of peanut seeds. Therefore, the field trial was carried out following a randomized complete block design with three replications. AMMI model was performed by GEST 98 statistical package programmes. Stability analysis showed that the regression coefficient (bi) were near to one for the phenolic content of SP2B, 55-437, EC106965, U12-7-1 and R4-A peanut genotypes. The closest to unity regression coefficient for antioxidant activity were recorded for SP2B, US17, R4-A, C29 and 58-619 lines peanut. These observations attested that the genotypes were unresponsive to environmental fluctuations. The ecovalence (Wi) values and stability variance (σi2) equal to zero were obtained for phenolic content of 55-437 and US17 genotypes, suggesting they manifested a static stability. The nearest to zero ecovalence values and stability variance for phenolic content and antioxidant activity were obtained for R4-A, US17, EC106965, 58-619 and AP80-43 peanut genotypes indicating they expressed the low interactions in the tested environments. They should be considered highly desirable in peanut breeding for phenolic content and antioxidant activity.
